I’m Dan, a documentary wedding photographer based in the Midlands, covering weddings across the UK.


I’m truly humbled and honoured when couples choose me to capture one of the most important days of their lives. My passion for wedding photography lies in the opportunity to document the raw, heartfelt moments as you celebrate with your loved ones. From bridal preparations to the ceremony, drinks reception, and dance floor, I love telling the full story of your day. Weddings are filled with so many beautiful, spontaneous moments, whether it’s the laughter from lawn games, a live band, or even the quirky moments like singing waiters or impromptu dancing! Often, the most memorable moments occur when no one is looking and as a documentary photographer, those are the moments I aim to capture. For me, it’s all about the moment. The beauty of this approach is that when you look back at your gallery, you’ll see moments that you may have missed in the chaos of the day.

My approach…


Documentary wedding photography is about capturing the day as it unfolds—authentically, candidly, and without interference. While I’m always available for guidance and support, my approach is unobtrusive, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in your day. The result? A more natural flow and less distraction for you on your wedding day.


I shoot exclusively with Fujifilm, using an X-T5 and X-T3, both equipped with dual memory card slots for extra peace of mind. I’m fully insured and aim to keep my pricing simple. My offerings include a Full-Day Package or an Hourly Package for smaller, more intimate weddings. A travel fee applies in the Hourly Package for weddings located 75 miles or more outside of Birmingham city centre. For more details, please visit my Pricing page.


I like to share a few sneak peek images with my couples within a week of their wedding, perfect for sharing on social media. The full online gallery, which is password-protected and easily shared with friends and family, will be delivered within 4-6 weeks.


For a full day you can expect to receive 400-600 professionally edited images, ensuring a comprehensive story of your wedding day.
